Carbon Reduction Plan
Manc Global Logistics is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future. We have implemented the following measures to reduce our carbon emissions through our Carbon Reduction Plan:
Carbon Removal with Stripe Climate:
We are proud members of Stripe Climate, a program that allows us to donate a percentage of our revenue towards carbon removal projects and offset our carbon emissions. We are committed to investing in high-quality projects that have a positive impact on the environment.
Supporting the Work of Tree Aid:
We make monthly donations to Tree Aid, a UK-registered charity organisation that works to tackle poverty and protect the environment in Africa by planting trees and promoting sustainable land use. Our donations help grow trees in the drylands of Africa, restore degraded land and support communities at the forefront of climate change.
Carbon-neutral Delivery through DPD:
We have partnered with DPD, a UK-wide delivery company that offers carbon-neutral delivery options. By using DPD's carbon-neutral delivery services, we are able to reduce our carbon emissions and support sustainable delivery practices.
99% Paperless Business Processes:
Since our inception, we have never issued paper invoices to our shippers. We have implemented paperless business processes wherever possible, including digital invoicing, electronic document storage and online communication. By reducing our paper usage, we are able to save trees and reduce our carbon footprint.
Carbon-neutral Web Hosting and Document Management:
At Manc Global Logistics, we take our responsibility towards the environment seriously and that includes the companies we partner with. We are proud to have sustainable supply chain partners like Shopify, Krystal Hosting, Google, Microsoft and Xero who share our commitment to the fight against climate change.
Shopify, one of the world's leading e-commerce platforms, is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality for its global operations. They have also invested in renewable energy and are working towards sourcing 100% renewable energy for their data centers by 2025.
Krystal Hosting, our web hosting provider, is also committed to sustainability and has implemented various measures to reduce their carbon footprint. They have achieved carbon-neutral certification and have invested in renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies to reduce their impact on the environment.
Google has been carbon-neutral since 2007 and has set an ambitious goal of running on 100% carbon-free energy by 2030. They have also invested heavily in renewable energy projects, and their data centers are some of the most energy-efficient in the world.
Similarly, Microsoft has committed to becoming carbon-negative by 2030 and has set a goal of removing all the carbon they have emitted since their founding in 1975. They are investing in renewable energy and are also working towards reducing the carbon footprint of their data centers.
Another sustainable company that we are proud to partner with at Manc Global Logistics is Xero, a cloud-based accounting software provider. Xero has been certified carbon-neutral by the Australian government since 2021. They are also committed to reducing their energy usage and carbon emissions across their operations.
In addition to their commitment to sustainability, Xero is also a B Corporation, which means they are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.
Fleet of Euro 6 Vans
We operate a fleet of EURO 6 vans as part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. We believe that by using these more environmentally friendly vehicles, we can help to improve air quality, reduce harmful emissions, and promote a cleaner, greener future for everyone.
